Heroes of the Storm, Watch Dogs gets delayed, Pokemon X and Y smash sales records - all
that and more in this edition of the Curse Weekly Roundup!
Hey guys I'm Jess, and let's kick it off with some talk about the artist formerly known
as Blizzard All-Stars. Much like Prince, Blizzard's moba suffered a minor identity crisis and
changed its name. Again. No longer called Blizzard All-Stars, and only called Blizz
Dota when you're trying to save syllables, this latest game is now titled Heroes of the
Storm. I guess now you can say you've got the HOTS for a game - which is also confusing
cause that's the same acronym as the StarCraft II expansion Heart of the Swarm. Anyway, what
do you guys think of the new title? Leave me a comment below!
Next up - Watch Dogs? More like should've worn a watch, dawg - cause this sh*t's gonna
be late! (I'm not even sorry about that one.) Anyway Ubisoft says that they struggled with
whether or not to delay the title but their ambition was to deliver something that really
embodies next-gen gaming. They're pushing Watch Dogs' release to spring 2014 in order
to ensure a memorable and exceptional experience without having to sacrifice quality. Better
late than never, I say - lemme know what you guys think! Frustrated by the delay, or is
it gonna be worth the wait?
Moving on - Pokemon X and Y collectively sold 4 millions copies during their opening weekend,
making it the fastest-selling game in the 3DS's history - don't get too excited, some
of the ladies aren't too impressed by speed.
Square Enix has announced Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix, which consists of Kindom Hearts
2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts: Coded, all remastered
in gorgeous HD graphics. The game is a PS3 exclusive to be released in 2014, and you
can click the link in the description to watch the official trailer.
And because I've got a Kingdom Heart-on (ok, THAT one was bad), Square Enix ALSO released
a trailer showing NEW footage of Kingdom hearts 3! The game is currently in development for
the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and once again click the link in the description to view
that footage for yourself.
Activision Blizzard has completed its buyback of over 429 million company shares from Vivendi,
meaning that it is now the largest and most profitable independent game studio. So I guess
we'll see Call of Duty: Ghosts in the next Humble Indie Bundle, right?
Halo 3 is available for free right now for Xbox Live Gold Members as part of their Xbox
Live Games for Gold program - unfortunately it IS region-locked so this offer is only
confirmed for US users, but players in other areas have been reporting varying degrees
of success. Anyway, this program only runs through December, with a new free title each
month - be sure and grab Halo 3 while you can because they'll rotate to a new title
starting November 1st - oh, and you DO get to keep the games indefinitely even if you
end your gold subscription.
That's it! As always be sure to subscribe to Curse Entertainment, and give this video
a thumbs up for my terrible puns? THanks for watching! Enjoy the game.
