A new Maori Television kapa haka show
has been forced to stop using footage of a Te Matatini finalist
after a complaint.
Producers of 50 Haka Moments
will not screen the performance of Opotiki Mai Tawhiti
after the group's tutor, Te Kahautu Maxwell,
objected to the way his team was being made light of
by the show's presenters.
The show is a light look at the top Te Matatini moments of 2013.
Maori Television's Head of Programming Carol Hirschfeld
did not want to comment.
50 Haka Moments airs next month.
