From summer 2013 4G that enables super fast mobile internet
Arrived in the UK at a new frequency 800 megahertz
While 4G benefits the UK by giving us access to next-generation mobile
Internet services
There is a small chance that 4G at 800 megahertz
May also disrupt a minority of people's existing Freeview service
We send filters to households where there is a small chance a disruption to
Freeview
Caused by 4G at 800 megahertz don't worry
Receiving a filter doesn't mean you will experience any disruption to your
Freeview service
The free filter from at800 is smaller than a pack of cards
And easily connects to the TV the filter
Only works on TV received through an aerial if you watch TV by satellite or
Cable
You won't be affected and will not need to fit the filter
If you have received a filter from at800
You do not need to fit it straight away in fact
You may not need to fit it at all so when
Do you fit it if you have your own aerial
And notice new disruption to Freeview such as loss of sound
Blocky images or loss of TV channels then you should fit the filter
Where you fit the filter depends on whether or not
You have an amplifier amplifies look something like this:
Some amplifies split the TV signal to a number of TV's
If you have one aerial feeding into a number of TV's
Then you probably will have an amplifier in all instances
The filter should always be connected between your aerial and the amplifier
If your amplifier is on the roof or in your loft
And difficult to access please call our Contact Center
And we will arrange for an at800 accredited installer
To visit you and fit for free an at800
Outdoor filter on your behalf if you do not have an amplifier
The filter should be connected between your aerial cable and your TV or Freeview
BT Vision Youview or other set-top box
Or to a personal video recorder unplug the power supply for
All your TV equipment from the mains including amplifier
If you have one connect the short lead that
comes in your pack to the filter matching the end labeled
'A' to the connector on the filter labeled 'A'
Disconnect the aerial cable from the first piece of TV equipment it runs to
Now connect the lead that came with your filter
Into the aerial socket from which you just disconnected the
Aerial cable and finally connect the aerial cable
Into the B-side of the filter plug in you TV equipment
Switch it on check that your Freeview service has correctly been restored
You may need to retune your equipment once you have fitted the filter
And if you TV service is still disrupted call our contact centre
The telephone number can be found on the filter fitting instructions that were
Provided
With the at800 filter and we will help you with the problem
