- Hi, everyone.
Happy New Year.
Hey, listen, I'm curious.
How many of you have just recently joined the gym?
Reason I ask is because it's January,
and in January, we are writing New Year's resolutions,
and right at the top of that list for so many people
is losing weight and getting healthy, right.
So people join the gym.
And, you know what, if you did, I really commend you
because you're taking a great step in improving your health.
However, I just want to remind you
that, if you're joining the gym
because you need to lose weight,
you're not likely to lose weight simply by going to the gym.
And here's the reason why.
It takes 3,500 calories to burn
enough fuel to help you lose one pound.
And, my friend, that's the equivalent of running a marathon.
So just be realistic about this.
80% of what goes in your mouth, 20% what happens in the gym
is what's going to affect weight loss.
So, if you want to lose weight, you've got
to pay more attention to what you're eating, okay.
So thank you for watching.
You're one minute closer to a healthier you.
Have a great day.
