It is about one gram per day. Omega3 is more important for children than for adults
because children shall build their brain and they need a lot of Omega3 in the brain. It is the same dose for children and adults.
In Norway, for instance, it is a general recommendation that you should start to take it at six month of age. In Europe over all the recommendation is from 3 years of age.
Of course you can take it as fish, but if you want to be sure and take it as a complement you can take it as fish oil.
