I think South Korea is going to collect a lot of medals.
South Korea and Japan will be competing to be the most successful country in Judo.
And some European countries such as Russia will be successful.
The Kazakhstan athlete who won the world championship last year
and the Russian and Georgian athletes will be my strongest rivals at the Olympics.
First of all, the generational shift in the Korean Judo team has been fully completed.
The 2012 Olympic athletes retired and became coaching staff for the national team.
The current average age of the Judo national team has been lower than ever before
and new faces have joined the national team.
Over the last 2 years, the new generation of athletes have progressed and are now top in the world rankings.
They have gotten more skillful so I think they’ll be very successful.
A lot of South Korean athletes have already topped the world rankings and I think this trend will continue in the near future.
Apparently, I am one of the world’s top ranked athletes in my weight class so I think people expect a lot from me.
Personally, I don’t care much about it.
I think as a member of the national team, I am working hard and am getting well prepared
so that’s why people consider me one of the main contenders for a Judo gold medal.
I wouldn’t say I feel no pressure but I am proud that I am one of the members in the national team.
