What can happen if a dog eats cat food?
Well, it is certainly better than the dog eating the cat’s poop.
True. But will it make the dog sick?
A dog eating the cat’s food one time or even occasionally snacking on it won’t hurt
him. Though if they are doing that a lot, you’ll probably want to upgrade what you’re
feeding the dog.
What happens if he’s eating it all the time?
Then the dog won’t get all of the nutrition he needs.
I’ve heard that cat food actually has more protein than what dogs need.
A dog eats a lot of cat food, it might be because he smells the meat that is so much
better than his dry kibble. Add meat to his diet or pour grease from your skillet onto
his food so he’ll eat his own.
We do that from time to time anytime. What happens if he keeps it up over the long term?
Eating a lot of cat food can make the dog fat, increasing the odds of pancreatis. He
could end up with liver and kidney problems.
And it could make the dog sick immediately.
It seems like everything makes a dog throw up. Then again, wild dogs are considered to
have a communal stomach.
That’s disgusting.
Eating too much high protein cat food can also give him diarrhea.
And then you have to be careful that he doesn’t eat the poop.
His or the cat’s.
When they say that cats are like women and men are like dogs, no one ever mentions habits
like this. No man I’ve ever met was that disgusting.
I think that’s a complement.
I do wish I could give them the same food, but it sounds like that’s not really an
option.
But you can add the same chicken scraps and bacon fat to both their bowls.
