O.k. now let's talk about creating the body or the posturing of your particular character.
We're going to talk about gestures which you know that's what you’re going to do with
your hands. We're going to talk about that in a minute but let's talk about how does
this person stand. How do they carry them self. Well we did all that research earlier
and maybe we determined that this person was from royalty or money. Well traditionally
a person that has a strong background, affluence or money, they're going carry them self a
little more proudly, all right? So as that character you want to stand that way and sit
that way and walk that way or maybe, maybe they're very insecure. Maybe it's a very insecure
character so insecure people tend to you know, close themselves off a little bit. So maybe
your character stands more like this. Maybe your character has some kind of physical ailment.
I mean the most obvious one to is King Richard III, you know he had he was almost a cripple.
So not that you have to go to that extreme but possibly your character calls for it.
Maybe your character is pigeon toed. Maybe your character doesn't you know doesn't isn't
able to completely use their arms. You know, maybe they have something wrong with their
neck and they have to hold their neck this way. How do they carry themselves? If you
can't find the information anywhere, which you should be able to, then again you've got
to decide but you shouldn't do is be you. Perfect example, you’re playing a you know,
someone much older, well you can't be all bouncy if you’re twenty because people that
are fifty aren't all bouncy.
