Hi guys, today we're going to be working on this heart design for Valentine's
Day.
I know they're not exactly perfect little neat hearts, but more abstract hearts,
and I did them using the drag marbling technique that so many of you
wanted to see more of.
So, to start out here I've just got a ridge-filling base coat on my nails.
And that that's just a little
cloudier than my normal base coat, it helps especially with the white to make sure
that the color is opaque,
but since I am alternating each nail, for this one
I'm going to start out with
Orly - Candy Cane Lane for my base color.
And I'm just going to put two
pretty thick coats of color on there,
so that we have a nice,
wet base for the marbling. And if you see any spots where the colors is kind of
thin, or needs a little more, just go ahead and dab
some extra color on there.
And, when you add the top coat that will help to level everything out.
I've got a piece of scratch paper here.
And I'm just going to dab out some of Orly - WhiteTips.
And
then I'm going to go into that with my dotting tool.
And, I'm going to do four dots.
kind of just back and forth on my nail.
If you wanted to switch the design up on each nail, certainly feel free,
I did basically the same design and each of my nails.
So, now that I have the dots on there I'm going to take a toothpick,
and just
draw
right through the middle of the dot,
and it turns them into little hearts.
After you let it dry for a little while, go ahead and add some top coat.
Like I said, that will help to level everything out.
And for this one, really feel free to play around with whatever your favorite
color might be.
Or, do all your nails in the same color combination, you don't have to
alternate them the way that I did.
But, if you'd like to see some more pictures of manicure, you can check
