Here's a brief demonstration of how to log in and create a request using KPC's new request system.
The system is located at support.kpc.alaska.edu, and you can either go there directly or you can get redirected there
by a link from within Blackboard or some other place.
Once you're here, you need to log in, and the credential that you need to use (for students) is
the same credential that you use to log into your university e-mail.
For faculty and staff: you know this login as the unified statewide login that you can get to at me.uaa.alaska.edu.
Once you log in, make sure that you are at the Service Desk, and notice that there is a New button next to Tickets.
Click on the New button and then select a queue that you wish to create the ticket under.
For example: if you have a general help desk related question or request, click on Help Desk Queue, and that will allow you to configure a
Help Desk related ticket. When you've completed this, you can click on the Save button,
and it will be entered into the Help Desk queue.
If I go back to the Service Desk, there are other queues available, and we may add yet more,
as we like the idea of routing everybody into a single place to make requests.
So, for example, the Online Math Lab Queue is available as well. This is a different set of things to fill out,
but the result is the same: when you click on Save, your request becomes part of the list; it gets queued up and addressed in order.
