Hey, it's Frank Radice here at the Red Touch Media booth at CES 2013. I'm talking to Salil
Dalvi who is from Dyle Mobile TV. Tell me a little bit about this product.
So Dyle is a product that lets you get live over-the-air television on your mobile device
without using any of your data plan and without having you log into a wifi hotspot. So it
makes live TV just really easy for the average consumer.
So is it hardware, software, or a combination of both?
It's a combination of both. So you need to have two things, you need to have stations
that are broadcasting in a special format, and you need to have a device that's capable
of receiving that format. Right now you've got about a hundred and thirty stations across
the country covering about half the population of the US broadcasting in that format. We've
just launched plugins for your iPad and iPhone devices and we also have a Samsung device
that's capable of receiving the mobile signal as well. So depending on the market that you're
in, you can get as many as seven over-the-air broadcast channels in your market and it's
basically a living room experience. It's live local television from your local affiliate.
So you've been to a lot of these CES' and we've been together to a number of them. What
do you see here, is there a trend that you've spotted here that's blown you away?
I've spent a lot more time on this side of the building today.
This side being the entertainment side? Yeah, the entertainment side. So I've been
looking at a lot of TVs and it just seems as though the TV technology consistently gets
better in terms of the picture quality. I mean, that just seems to be what happens every
CES. The 4K piece. But it also seems that every TV is trying to bring a little bit more
intelligence to it whether it's the apps or whether it's the user interface or whether
it's other types of features that they bring to the table. So it's been interesting to
see. Great. Salil Dalvi from Dyle Mobile TV. This
