Hi, my name is Amanda Oakleaf. I am owner, head banker, decorator of Amanda Oakleaf Cakes
in Winford, Massachusetts. It's where we do cupcakes, custom cakes, wedding cakes, birthday
cakes, anything you can think of, we can make it into a cake. And today I will be talking
to you about baking cupcakes. A really good occasion to serve cupcakes is a wedding. Where
you may have a lot of people but you don't want to cut a slice of cake for everybody.
Save the hassle and the mess and you can just serve some cupcakes. Uh, there's three ways
that we have come up with that you can just serve cupcakes at wedding. You can either
get a really large tiered display. Which you can either buy or rent, um you can even make
them sometimes, um to hold all your cupcakes on a center table, the cake table. You can
also get a stand as a centerpiece, a cake stand as a centerpiece for each table and
theres a certain amount of cupcakes on the stand that will feed everybody at that table.
Maybe each table could have a different flavor, and then you can also do cupcakes as favors.
So maybe you have other desserts and uh then you can give everybody a cupcake uh with personalized
decorations or decorations to match your event. Um inside the little box and they can take
home for a later day. Another way to jazz up the cupcakes if you're going to display
them at a wedding is to before you bake them decide whether or not you want to do just
regular white papers or foil papers, but you could also do really fun papers with designs
on them. These have some scrollwork, polka-dots, you know, some some gingham, it just really
depends what the event is and what the design is.
