The elves stopped at nothing,
burning down city after city
and killing every Nord did they could find.
Their greater numbers
and maybe the surprise of the attack, eradicated the Nords until only
Ysgramor himself and his sons were left.
Fleeing to their former home across the northern sea
Ysgramor, arrived at Atmora now a peaceful nation.
But it didn't take long
before he gathered the legendary five hundred soldiers and returned to Skyrim
to take back the snow-covered lands
and swear vengance on the elves.
This marked as one of the stepping stones in the First Era
and indeed, all human races in Tamriel,
with the exception of the Redguard,
are decendant from the Nord.
Until this day, Skyrim has seen many wars and many battles,
most of them internal,
but it remains today
a mainly human nation
and the one with the least elven tolerance.
It is from Skyrim that one of the greatest personalities in Tamrielic history stems from,
one Nord called Tiber Septim
curiously, also known as, The Dragonborn.
It is also rumoured
that Ysgramor was himself
an avatar of the dragon god, Alduin,
Akatosh's opposite,
The World-Eater, and a dragon we will get to know only too well.
