What's up guys we're continuing our Camaro detailing week on this 2015 Z28.
As you can see it has a really bright white finish and we want to enhance that as well
as remove dirt and debris that is on the surface using Hybrid V7.
This is a great quick detail spray for any color vehicle but it really enhances a white shine.
A lot of you guys that have white vehicles know how hard it is to make your car look
brighter or glossier but by adding a layer of sealant this will enrich the shine while
protecting the finish.
This car just got back from cruising in the canyons and it has dust, debris and bugs.
This is a great way to safely remove all of that without scratching the finish.
It is hard to see scratches on white that doesn't mean they aren't there because it
really isn't any different from any other vehicle it just hides them a lot better.
We're wiping in straight lines like we always do and this is preventing swirls which I've
said before, are really easy to see and difficult to polish out.
So, working in straight lines or linear motions is reducing the chances of adding new imperfections
to the paint.
So using a quick detail spray is simple enough we're going to finish this process over the
rest of the vehicle.
Like most of you know, you can use this on painted surfaces, carbon fiber, glass, headlights
and all that stuff to remove dust, bird droppings, water spots and grime without harming the
surface.
We have a lot more in store for this car so we need to keep on moving with the detailing process.
We just finished using Hybrid V7 to take care of the light dust, fingerprints and any other
filth that was on the surface.
It has brought back a high shine but we want to enhance that even further using some White Light.
If you don't know, this is a glaze that fills in minor imperfections to give an overall
smoother feel while also giving more gloss.
This is going to enhance that white finish, we are going to do this by hand by simply
applying it to one of our microfiber applicators.
Before we start lets take off this tag because we don't want to add any swirls to the finish.
Also, before we apply any coatings or protectants we always clay the vehicle.
This gives it a smooth feeling and it also helps the bonding process because with contamination
on the surface it prevents a tight seal or anything from bonding to the paint.
Just a couple lines to the applicator.
Just like we do when we are polishing or waxing, we're blotching it out first and then working
back and forth in straight lines to spread an even coat which saves us product, time
during buff off and it is an even bond.
So you can pretty much glaze any part of your vehicle like the paint, carbon fiber with
light scratches and it adds to the overall shine with a thin layer of protection to prevent
UV rays from damaging it over time.
To expedite the detailing process we'll wrap up the glaze and move to our last step of
adding a layer of wax to enhance the shine but to also lock in all the hard work we have
done.
This only takes about fifteen minutes to bond and after that we'll buff it off so we can
move to the final step of enhancing the white shine on this Camaro.
Like I said, the last step is to add a layer of wax.
We're going to use some White Wax which is a bleached carnauba wax to enrich the shine
but more importantly it is going to lock in all the work while repelling sun rays that
can fade and discolor the white finish and it is also going to keep this car cleaner
for longer because it is adding an anti-static barrier which makes the paint feel very smooth
while repelling water spots, dust and anything else that will detract from the overall look
of the vehicle.
I'm going to take of this and in the meantime you guys can head over to our website chemicalguys.com.
If you like this car or this video be sure to give it a thumbs up.
Be sure to stay tuned for our next installment of the series and we'll see you next time
right here in the Detail Garage.
