The vibe is awesome here.
There's always something going on.
We have a back-to-school bash. Everyone comes out on the lawn and there's free food and
t-shirts.
It was a real boost when I came in the first day and I actually knew people in my first
class.
Wonderful people.
The diversity is fantastic.
We just have a great time.
I've been to poetry readings here.
We have guest speakers.
Comedians come here.
When those aren't going on, we just kind of all hang out in the Great Hall.
My favorite place to hang out is probably the arcade room.
You can play X-box.
I play a lot of pool.
And there's always the fitness center so you an always work out.
Out weight room is actually pretty brand new.
There's the Lion's Den that you can eat at.
My favorite food would probably be the salad bar.
I love when we have the taco salad special.
Or the chicken bacon ranch club.
The food's really good.
Sometimes we eat in the Great Hall, and sometimes we take a drive cause everything's so close.
Every month they give out free movie passes.
We go shopping a lot.
Free bowling nights.
Penn State has a partnership with the Buhl Club, which is right up the street. And they
allow us to work out for free with our Penn State ID.
They've got huge weight rooms, they've got a whole basketball court, they've got a swimming
pool; there's endless things to do.
It's really easy to get involved on campus. We have club fairs at the beginning of each
semester.
Everyone can learn about all the clubs on campus.
I am involved with the PTA club.
Student government association.
Circle K International club.
HDFS club.
The drama club.
I actually met most of my friends here in the clubs that I'm involved in.
It's given me the opportunity to meet other people in my field.
I'm the president of THON, which is an organization that raises money for pediatric cancer. We're
doing a THON 5k it's called "Dash for the Kids" it's going to be held at Buhl Park.
I always go there and ride my bike around the park. It's just a really nice place to
go and relax.
On our campus. we only have one sport, Gold, but we have a lot of intramural sports. I
participate in flag football.
We're going down to Slippery Rock for the tournament.
And it was a really fun time.
We all went to Pittsburgh on a Gateway Clipper.
Kennywood, Cedar Point.
The bodies exhibit in Cleveland.
Alternative spring break.
We are going to Peru this year. There's also study abroad in Rome.
They do have trips that you can go to University Park.
We have a job and internship fair. You can sign up and Penn State will actually take
you there.
Penn State games.
They have presale tickets.
You all get on a bus and have a great time on your way up there.
There's a lot of spirit here.
It's a fantastic place to be.
Everyone that I've talked to loves this campus.
So that's why I chose Penn State Shenango.
