So what is Kansas up to these days? Well, just this past Tuesday, its house of representatives
overwhelmingly approved a new measure that will allow segregation of gay and straight
people in every arena of life. It basically means any government employee is given explicit
permission to discriminate against gay couples if he/she has a moral objection. So if you're
gay and you call the cops, they have the right to refuse to help you and will need to provide
you with someone else that doesn't mind you being gay. My god my head hurts just saying
that. Not just government workers, but any public accommodations such as movie theaters
and restaurants. They can turn you away if they suspect you're gay and they have a problem
with that. Kansas should be ejected from the union for this nonsense. I hope the federal
government will shoot this down. Keep in mind people, Kansas tried legalizing pot and the
federal government freaked out. Now they want to discriminate against gay couples and the
federal government stays quiet. What the hell? Kansas find yourself another country to be
part of.
That's disgusting. What's even worse is that their House of Representatives are a group
of elected officials. I agree with you, and maybe we should start to segregate bigots,
see how they like it.
If I may, I would love to start off with the old phrase, what's the matter with ***
Kansas? My god. You got everyone becoming more liberal, more pot laws, you've got gay
marriage finally. What's with Kansas? This is disgusting. This is worse than Oklahoma's
law. How can people support segregation in this day of age? It's disgusting. This is
terrible! How can that be? It's anti-constitution. Doesn't that go against umm, our constitution.
You can't discriminate against gay people. Im reading this on the site, the law's advocates
is claiming it only applies to gay couples. So, that's even worse! It's a blank check
to discriminate. We're in America. America is about liberty and freedom for all and now
we have to discriminate because of someone'e *** orientation? I mean, im probably saying
stuff in less eloquent way than most people would, but it's just disgraceful. What's the
matter with Kansas? You know why? Because they were formed in the. What was it. The
Kansas Nebraska. Bloody Kansas. Bleeding Kansas you know with the whole popular soverignty
with slavery. jesus christ. what's the matter with kansas? Evolution, anti gay segregation,
disgusting. A disgusting state. It's going to be another sorry chapter when these people
have to explain to their children and grand children about why they arbituarily hated
on a group of people. We gotta get down and get them. It reminds me of an old *** Allen
line from Manhattan. Someone said Nazis were marching. And he said yea we should really
go and explain things to them with bricks and baseball bats. I feel like we should do
that to these anti gay zealots. We should really explain things to these law makers
with bricks and baseball bats. A brick really gets to the point. Maybe violence isn't the
best, but why not? This is terrible.
I just read some good news. The Kansas Senate president Susan Wagle has decided to push
back the anti-gay bill. She said something about how they certainly do not condone discrimination
and that this bill was pretty much outrageous. But she did say, herself included, does think
marriage should be between a man and a woman. Regardless, thank god it didn't go forward.
