Welcome to the heart of Aarhus, more particularly the stream of Aarhus, and even more particularly "Red Bull Kayak Maniacs."
We've got 25 of the best kayak paddlers, who are competing at the impending Olympic Games, and a very competent judge.
The battle starts off a ramp at the bridge of Clemens, then they paddle over barrels and a small minefield, then over and under a cross bar, and finally slalom until the finish line.
Three kayak paddlers on course in a bunch of head-to-head heats until we have only one winner.
It's an alternative sort of kayak race.
It's the first time we've seen anything like this in Denmark, and I think it's a really good event. I haven't paddled this way before, but it's really fun!
The incline immediately after the start is super steep, and you go deep under water. It's hard not to topple. I've been lucky enough not to, so if my start goes well, I have a good chance of winning.
It went really well! I won! I'm happy and it was a lot of fun. I did not expect to do this well. I know my form was good, but to win it all was a surprise!
