Okay. Let’s start putting the seal kit back in. Here we have this white spacer. This is
for the earlier lip seal design. You have to put this white spacer back in. You notice
it got this little, three little flat spots here. Those have to go toward you, these flat
spots. So, we’ll go ahead and put those in. Reach in here and just like that.
Okay. Next, we have the seal. Now, this is a split design here. See, you got two parts
here. What you want to do. This steel *** goes towards you. So you want to put the rubber
cup in first. Like that. Tap that in a little bit, carefully. Then, we’ll go to the next
step.
Okay. With the seal, it did not go in straight, so I just use the old front bearing and tapped
on it. Just be careful not to bend this metal *** around here. So make sure the bearing
stays within that. And then you can actually tap it in. It looks pretty straight now, it’s
flush inside. This is a split seal here, so this will come off and you want to put it
on the spinner as the spinner’s coming in this way. This metal *** should go first,
like that. That’ll be our next step.
Okay. We brought in the inner tub and here is the spinner. This is the old part of the
seal right here. So we need to pry that off a little bit because we’re going to put
a new one on. Let’s work on three corners. Okay. Then we’ll want to clean this up a
little bit. Okay. On this, we’re going to take the wire brush wheel and clean up around
here.
Okay. Next, we’ve cleaned this up with the wire brush. We’re going to take the seal,
we want to bring it out just like this and then put it right on there, as if we were
putting the tub in there. You don’t want to reverse the position of the seal. So, break
it loose, kind of like this, you want the greased side up actually, you want to be careful
not to disturb the grease and we finagle it on.
So it’s all the way down, like that. And next, we’re going to put the tub back in.
Center it up back there, figure out. There you go. Nice and smooth.
