"Revelation Unraveled" Chapter 1 Prophecy
The beautiful thing about true prophecy
is that it never goes out of date.
The not so beautiful thing is that people rarely heed prophecy.
This is why Jesus said, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own
country." (Matthew 13:57)
Prophecy calls people to repentance
and that remains an unpopular message.
Today,
many people disregard Our Lady's warnings to the shepherd children at
Fatima,
saying they are now
obsolete.
They will learn soon enough,
too soon for many,
the exact opposite is the truth.
The Fatima prophecies become increasingly critical
as we approach the end of days.
Much of what Mary predicted at Fatima has already proved accurate.
Her predictions about the end of World War I,
the outbreak of World War II,
and the rise of Communism.
Her warnings
that if Russia is not converted,
"several entire nations will be annihilated"
has yet to be fulfilled.
People do not want to hear about their own possible destruction.
Nowadays, few priests
talk about the Fatima warnings from the pulpit.
More was preached about Fatima 40 years ago than is today.
A rude awakening
awaits the church.
Many prophecies from the Old Testament are also pertinent to these last days,
and they verify that the Fatima message will come true for the present
generation.
For example
Ezekiel said that fire would rain down on Russia and America.
"And I shall send fire on Magog
and on them that dwell confidently
in the islands,
and they shall know that I am the Lord." (Ezekiel 39:6)
Most scripture interpreters believe
that "Magog" is Russia,
and that "those that dwell confidently in the islands"
refers to America.
The greatest prophet of all, of course, was Jesus our Messiah,
the Son of God.
One of the many signs He said to look for
at the end of times,
is that it would be "as in the days of *** and Gomorrah." (Luke 17:29)
Can anyone doubt
that America
and the West are becoming another
*** and Gomorrah?
Ezekiel's promise of "fire from the sky"
may very well be imminent indeed!
In addition to nations living like
*** and Gomorrah,
Jesus said that at the time of the second coming of the Son of Man,
"They will be as at the time of Noah,
eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, right up until the end."(Matthew 24:37-38)
Is this a paradox,
since every species of animal
on this planet must eat and reproduce in order to survive?
But in fact,
if man lives merely like the animals, and not by every word that comes forth from
the mouth of God,
he will not only not survive, he will destroy himself.
Jesus said of His second coming,
"If I do not come,
there will be no flesh left on Earth." (Matthew 24:22)
Another example of prophecy is King David
dancing naked, or nearly so, in front of the Ark of the Covenant.
Here, David represents Jesus
naked on the cross,
while the Ark of the Covenant
is a symbol of His mother Mary.
David's wife Michol,
who despises David's actions, represents the Jewish nation
which will reject the sacrifice of Jesus their Messiah,
while the servant girls,
who appreciate David's performance,
stand for the Gentiles,
who will accept Christ's humiliation on the cross.
God punishes Michol for her tunnel vision
and she becomes forever barren.
All true prophesy can be summed up in one sentence:
"Repent,
for the Kingdom of God is at hand."
John the Baptist preached this to announce the coming of the Messiah.
Although I am an interpreter of prophecy,
and not a prophet myself,
I can confidently,
along with anyone else who wishes to put on the mantle of true prophecy
merely by shouting from the rooftops:
"Repent, America
and you Western nations -
your days of freedom are at an end."
