American Plumber W5P Polypropylene Spun Sediment Filter
Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here. Today we’re looking at the American Plumber
W5P. This is a set of industry standard size filter
cartridges, approximately 10 inches in length and 2 ½ inches in diameter, this means they’re
going to fit in a vast array of industry standard size filter housings, like for example, the
popular Culligan HF360 and many many more. Now, these filters are 5 micron, polypropylene
spun sediment filters; they’re going to capture sediment that’s approximately 5
times smaller than a speck of milled flour. Five micron filters will often work great
as a stand-alone filter, or they will sometimes serve as a polishing filter or the final stage
in a multi-stage system. Now, because these filters are manufactured
from polypropylene they’re perfect for untreated water because microorganisms cannot live and
grow on this bacteriostatic filter media, and the polypropylene is highly resistant
to chemical attacks, making these a great choice for industrial and commercial applications.
These filters are seriously robust; they can stand up to nearly any water condition.
Now, filter life for each cartridge is approximately 8,000 gallons, but that’s going to depend
heavily on your unique circumstances. If you have a heavy contaminant load or you use a
great deal of water, you’ll certainly go through cartridges much faster than someone
who doesn’t have either of those conditions. Again, this is the American Plumber W5P, a
set of 5 micron, polypropylene spun sediment filters, and I’m your host Tony the Filter
Doctor. Thanks for watching.
