Good morning everybody. Good morning Mrs. Moye. We are so excited about this walking
wheel to school day. We’ve been sending flyers to your home right. We thank the parents
that came to join us. And we hope to continue around this policy. And this is not just for
today, we want to keep this forever and ever in your lives that you are always healthy
so I can let her explain the program and all the wonderful people that she brought and
the treats. So I just want to say thank you to the Illinois Department of Public Transportation.
They looked kids across the United States and found is that most kids are not walking
biking or wheeling to school. How many people here are walking, biking, or wheeling to school.
Wow! I want to say congratulations on that but I also want to let you know that less
than 20% of kids across the United States are active coming to school. We want you to
start changing this perception that kids sit in front of TV playing video games and don’t
do any activities, OK. You are the future, you are the history, we want you to accept
change and let people they can go to lead active healthy lifestyles.
