It is a profession because you have to know how to do it.
It can't just be done just any way. There are techniques to get
the best results in less time and being able to get more done at once.
Once during a course, someone brought all
of the cleaning products that they used and there were almost one hundred of them.
And I had told them that five were enough
because if you know enough about chemistry,
you know exactly how many products which claim
to be specific, have the same composition. With five cleaning products
you can clean the whole house perfectly. This saves a lot of money.
Obviously we have to learn, we have to study,
in order to be competent we have to be trained.
A typical example which I can give which has really changed the organisation of my house
and which has made it more professional.
Well, I knew how to cook, I could prepare food
for the children and for both of us in the evening but it has given me
skills to organise the shopping
better in a more rational way, make menus and therefore gain time,
everything is organised,
it runs itself and that makes me save a lot of time and gain a lot of serenity especially, on a daily basis.
Nobody teaches you how to form your own family.
Some people have been lucky enough to have their mother or grandmother teach them
to cook, but no one has taught them in a professional way.
I think, personally, that it is a subject that we need to work on.
