Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village, in this clip I'm going to be showing you how
we are going to seal our siding. Now that we have installed all of our trim around our
house we need to go through and seal up every place where water could potentially get in.
Much like we did when we sealed the seams between the sheets of siding, we need to seal
the seams between our trim pieces, also in our corners we want to make sure we seal up
every gap there as well. You want to make sure you are using some kind of exterior sealant.
This one is designed for widows, doors, trim, siding and other moldings. Since the color
of my house is light brown I chose a almond color sealant so I hopefully won't have to
do as much touch up painting. If you cut the tip of your sealant at a 45 degree angle it
would really help when you go to apply it. Now the key to applying this is to just get
a little bit in all the seams
and run your finger down and kind of smooth it in. This is going to insure a good seal.
