The thing I remember most about my childhood is the financial struggles.
You know, living paycheck to paycheck when my father was employed or not employed.
My dad got paid on Fridays when he had a job
and there was never enough money to make it to the next Friday.
It was tough.
It's one thing to put food on the table and have to struggle with that,
but when you can't pay the rent …
and we couldn't pay the rent a lot, so we were evicted.
And that happened a lot during my childhood.
I was always the kid that showed up to school with last year's clothes.
Pants 4 inches too short,
out of style …
not cool.
I know about hard times, I know about struggle.
My first job was when I was 10 years old, I was a newspaper boy.
I was actually carrier of the week at one time,
which was a big deal.
My first full-time job was when I was 14 years old.
In fact, I did it to help my family.
And I've had a full-time job ever since.
Growing up in difficult financial situations …
at one point even living in the back of the car with my Dad …
left a lasting impression on me.
When I grew up and got married,
I never wanted my children to have to go through that struggle,
that embarrassment.
My wife, my children
are my greatest motivator, to this day.
When I got into the real world, got married,
got a job,
started my own businesses,
I was working 80 hours a week.
Every single week.
I never got to see my children.
I didn't really have a life.
Every business I ever owned, owned me.
I got introduced to this industry by a guy
that called me every single day.
And he kept inviting me to one of those meetings.
I went to that first meeting and I was done,
I was hooked because I saw a better way of life,
a different way of life.
I saw you could work differently and have success.
That was 25 years ago when I started in this industry,
and we were successful right from the very beginning,
but not without disappointment.
You'd have success and then greed and ego would take over.
The ownership would always change the comp plan
that always made it better for the corporate team,
not for the field.
Each and every time a company made changes
that affected the field adversely,
it frustrated me because I had so many people that believed in me
and followed me, followed my wife.
And eventually my wife just said
"You're so frustrated with all this and I understand why,
so why don't you start your own company.
You're a successful businessman,
start your own company."
So I did.
It wasn't easy, it was a struggle.
In fact, we risked everything we had to do this.
But I knew
that if I were running the company,
changes would not be made that would adversely affect the field.
You could have the best product,
the best comp plan,
the best of everything the company provides.
But if you don't have great field leaders, great Promoters
that go out and build a business,
then you don't have a successful company.
I'm a Distributor-CEO.
The corporate team comes to me all the time with ideas,
but if it does not directly benefit the distributor,
I'm not interested.
And so I just wanted to help people
that were living paycheck to paycheck
make it to Friday.
I started LIMU because this industry gave me my life back.
You know I searched all over the world
for a unique product to bring to the marketplace.
And I found these two scientists
that had spent fifteen years perfecting this extraction process,
a chemical-free extraction process,
to extract the fucoidan from this seaweed
that's found only in the pristine waters of the South Pacific islands of Tonga.
The product is really the bedrock of any company.
You have to have a great product that's unique,
that is different than anyone else.
When we launched this company,
we set out to make LIMU a category creator.
We were the first company
to bring liquid extract LIMU, as we call it,
to the marketplace.
You know when you have a product that
you introduce to people and they get results,
that makes all the difference.
People are then connected to the product,
they're connected to LIMU.
We didn't just create this company to create the next 5 or 6 millionaires,
that's just too short-sighted.
We wanted to affect millions of people's lives,
to make them better,
to help them be better.
You know we have people earning a few hundred dollars a month,
a few thousand dollars a month.
We have people earning free BMWs.
We even have people earning tens of thousands of dollars a month,
every single month,
all through the LIMU Experience.
You know, far too many people fail in this industry.
That's really difficult to overcome.
We've overcome that at LIMU.
We've proven that even inexperienced people
with little or no experience in this industry can succeed,
because of the system.
We call it the play.
You know this goes back to my own humble beginnings.
I believe in empowering people.
I believe in helping people learn how to fish,
teach them how to fish instead of giving them a fish.
I believe most people want a hand up,
they don't want a handout.
They just want you to show them how.
You know, we're only successful when our Promoters are successful.
Today we're not just the category creator,
we're the market dominator.
We sell more LIMU products
than any other company in the world today.
When we started this company,
we risked everything we had.
Today, tens of thousands of people
are paying their rent, are putting food on the table.
We're making a difference in their lives.
That inspires me,
that makes it all worth it.
You know we have full-time college students
that are making ten thousand dollars a month and driving a free BMW.
We have stay-at-home Moms,
we have coaches, teachers, preachers.
We have people from all walks of life succeeding at LIMU.
That is what has built the LIMU Nation.
Seeing people moving forward,
taking control of their own futures,
regaining their self-confidence,
having belief in themselves again,
belief in their dreams again.
We can all achieve in this company if we're willing to work
and that's really what LIMU's all about.
Every single day
somebody, somewhere in the LIMU Nation calls me,
emails me, sends me a text
that says thank you,
I'm having success beyond my wildest dreams.
Things I never thought I would achieve for me,
my family and my team.
You know, we are now empowering people
to empower other people.
We're enriching people's lives
and they are enriching other people's lives.
That to me
is the most rewarding thing in this business.
The essence of the LIMU Experience
is really all about ordinary people
having an opportunity to change their lives,
to work hard, have good products,
a good company, a good opportunity.
And that's really what the LIMU Experience is all about.
I'm Gary Raser …
and I am LIMU.
