Aloha and welcome to Kiahuna Golf Club. My name is Matt Torrey, and today we’re going
to talk about putting. Here at Kiahuna we’re notorious for having super fast greens and
a different green surface called seashore paspalum. It’s actually a fairly easy surface
to putt on because there’s no grain, in other words which direction the grass is going.
One main thing we try to get you to do is sole your putter properly. Your putter is
always going to work better if it sits level to the ground. We’ll get you to set the
putter just how it was designed to be used, and then get your eyes over the golf ball.
If you have your eyes over the golf ball, you’ll be able to see the line of the putt
much clearer. So once I get that set, I’ll take a few practice swings, a nice couple
of practice strokes to get a feel for the putt. Sole the putter, get my eyes over it,
once I’m confident I’ll try to make a good stroke.
And if you need help with your putting or any other part of your game, come on over
to Kiahuna Golf Club, 742-9595. Aloha.
