After you have your photocopy applied down using your media, its a bit of a waiting game.
Media takes a while to dry. Some folks try to push it and try to start going to the next
step a couple of hours afterwards. I highly recommend at least allowing one day. If you
put a lot of media on a big surface, you may even want to wait two days before you come
back to this. If you prematurely remove, go on to our transfer process before things are
dry, the transfers not going to work. Its going to come up kind of beady and rough.
When in doubt, wait. That's what you want to do, you want to make sure your things are
dry. Now a couple of good ways to think about how to test whether or not your photocopy
transfer is ready, is basically by doing the fingernail test. Kind of come up to the side
of your transfer here. And the paper, where the paper meets the wood. And do a little
bit of scraping. And kind of see if there's any edge that either just comes away like
its a little wet. Or just go in and feel it with your fingers. You know , does it feel
dry? The fingernail test in combination with kind of seeing how it feels, will let you
know whether or not its dry. Because if its not dry, its time to wait some more. If it
is, we're ready to move on.
