Hi, this is Elise McMahon with Expert Village.com and in this video series we are talking about
dog toys. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can visit my website
at www.canineheadstart.com. We are talking about different types of toys and different
things you can do with toys and one of the things you can do is stuff a toy. Stuffing
a toy makes it a little more interesting for a dog so we’ve got some basic rubber toys
here and on their own they are lots of fun. Dogs do have a lot of fun playing with them.
If you’ve got a young puppy and you are trying to teach it to stay in the crate and
be happy and content or even if you have an older dog and you have to leave them in a
crate alone for a while or loose in the house, a great thing to do is get these toys that
you can stuff. I’ve put in here dog biscuits and Kibbles so you can take your dogs regular
dog food, put it right in there, take a piece of dog biscuit and stick that in there, leave
them lying around the house and they are great. Dogs have a great time rolling them around,
trying to get the food out. Some times people actually stick peanut butter on the top or
cheese on the top so that it takes a little longer to get the food out. These toys come
in all different shapes and sizes. Here is a slightly smaller one. Again, its got the
biscuit in there and the dog can chew on this, break the biscuit up in smaller pieces, get
the cookies out and then get the rest of the food out. These are great for diverting your
dog’s attention, keeping them from being bored, gives them something to do and it makes
us feel less guilty for having to leave them alone.
