Now, I'm going to show you how to decorate the beads that are going to be hanging inside
the cup, and the beads that are going to be making the noise once the cup or the bell
is shaken. So, the way we decorate the beads is we use our skewer again. Now, make sure
that the beads are able to fit on the skewer and we're going to use this the same way we
used the skewer for the cup, we're going to use it to hold the beads while we paint them
and decorate them. So, we line up our beads that we are going to be using. Of course,
you can use colored beads and then you might not need to necessarily paint them or decorate
them, but it definitely has a nice effect to choose colors that you want and to be able
to paint them the colors that go according to the color scheme of the entire project.
So, once we have the beads that we are going to be using on the stick, we go ahead and
select our paints and just brush them straight onto the beads. Now, we're using wooden beads
so the paint goes on and stays really well. Most beads you shouldn't have a problem with
the paint, but the wooden beads work really nice. This really gives us more flexibility
in the outcome of the project being able to design all the colors for the outside of the
cup and also the beads. And, of course, the paint doesn't have to go on as a straight
coat, to cover the entire bead. You can also just make small marks and decorations and
anything, whatever is left up to your imagination to do but the main thing about this project
is going to be the colors and the look of the project. Again, it's not a bell with a
loud ring to it, it's more of a decorative bell. So, once we finish decorating our beads,
we can leave them on the stick and let them dry and then we will get them ready to be
strung on our fishing line, or string.
