The Korean Medical Association and the government agreed on key items including telemedicine
on Monday... narrowly averting a second doctors' strike which was scheduled for next week.
But, that doesn't mean we're completely out of the woods.
For a closer look into the issue, we're joined live in the studio by Dr. Kim Byoung-joo,
the head of KL&P Consulting and our regular commentator on this program.
In yesterday's agreement, the most important point was that medical doctors gained greater
voice in "Health Insurance Policy Review Committee". Can
we
start with explanation of what
this committee does?

And, medical doctors will get to increase their representation in this committee? Does that mean the government
side will
reduce their seats?

Other agreements include those of telemedicine, hospitals' investment in for-profit businesses,
and medical training?
Medical doctors will vote on the agreement until Thursday. What do we see ahead in both
short-term and long-term?
