Hello.
This is John
This is Alastair
This is Simeon
And I'm Colin
And we live, here.
So this is our Garden, it's mostly concrete,
But the plan is that we are going to be self sufficient by the end of the summer.
it may be a slightly unrealistic goal,
but it is one that we are going to aim for anyway.
If we can get ourselves producing a little bit,
then that's at least a step in the right direction.
What vegetables and stuff are you planning on keeping.
Vegetables, I'm thinking of having some potatoes,
some carrots, and maybe some broccoli
You can grow potatoes in a barrel, and if we did that,
then we can some of the concrete area of the garden producing
as well as the non concrete area
so I think that would be quite a good idea to do.
So what else were you thinking?
Coconuts would be quite nice.
Bananas,
Ok some of those might not be viable.
Can you do tomatoes?
Tomatoes, yeah probably
The thing that worries me most about the chickens is the noise.
Because we've got this concrete wall,
if we've got the chickens here, all the noise that they make
is just going to bounce off that wall
back towards the houses.
So what I'm thinking of doing is having some runner beans growing up the wall
That way, that will absorb some of the sound.
Before it bounces back.
Which will be good.
It's a good idea.
These are the two tools we have.
A very old broom,
and a brand new fork.
Hopefully we are going expand our inventory of tools
over the next little while and
and it's going to be helpful.
Most of the garden is concrete
unfortunately.
But all round the edge there's places where we can grow stuff.
In this area here, where the guys are standing.
We are going to have a chicken coop.
So um..................
Exactly
