Hello everybody I am David Rodriquez, horticulturist with Texas Agri-life Extension service on
behalf of Expert Village and we are going to show you some gardening steps in preparing
your vegetable garden for the spring planting. We’ve mentioned about bringing in some good
garden mix to your raised bed, often since our soils might be hard to work with there
is noting wrong with doing a raised bed garden. Four to six inches of a real rich garden mix
composed of a lot of rich compost is always great which you replenish every time you do
a spring or fall session. Check with your local extension office in your area to make
sure what is the best type of vegetable and what time frame to plant because you have
to use your average frost dates to know when and when not to plant and that is always a
good seasonal change.
