So the name on my project
is Restore Life and Rekindle a Light.
So it basically ranges from *** and AIDS awareness
to Charity Waters, H2O.
So what motivated me to do this
I lived in Kenya most of my life
my mother was never present in my life
and I had a father
but we had really big family
so there wasn't really you know that father sense.
It was just like my brothers and my siblings and things like that.
And when we lived in Kenya
I always would see outside my door a girl named Tawia
and she just would sit begging
for change or anything like that.
So they can have food for their family.
And her mother was disabled
so she wasn't really able to work and provide for her.
So that always touched my heart
and I always wanted to give back but I was so little.
I was young.
I was in Kenya like for 4,5 or 6 you know that was my age range.
So I didn't really have money to give her anything.
So I always had in the future
when I grow up and I have a life
and opportunity that I've been given
and I've been so blessed.
So I always wanted to get back
because I have been given so much.
Volunteerism has particularly impacted me
as an individual because I've been able to connect
with individuals that live on the streets
and I'll been able to visit a couple countries in Africa.
So you know and they don't have any support
these kids don't go to school.
And I always fear for the future
so that is like you if I am going to grow up
and been given all this opportunity.
I would have to do something.
So to encourage other young people
I would say reach out to your communities
and actually you know sometimes
the people next door to us might have big struggles
and we learn from everyday life.
