TONY CLINTON: About two years ago, we started a system here.
We found that our truck-wash and our drain system was very insufficient
and not very economical
and we we worked with Environment Canterbury to go ahead and upgrade our whole system
and since we've sort of finished it now
and we have a new dosing system, new truck-wash system.
So, basically, we discharge all our wastage, trade-waste, at night-time.
So we get a wee bit cheaper rate and it makes it more efficient
for the Council to process it.
We discharge between 11 and 7 in the mornings
and, since we've done that,
we've actually cut our costs back
and sort of saved the environment.
