Alright, I mentioned before that we're going to give formal report a title. Some of the
other business reports that you write you might not need to, even think about much of
a title. It's a report on statistics or it's a report on government funding or whatever.
But for a formal business report you're going to need to come up with a title. And you need
to think about the title. You want to give your report an important title, a catchy title
that remember, a business report is not a mystery novel. So you don't want to give your
title, you know, something mysterious, so you have to kind of, get to the report to
find out what it's all about. No. In the business world, people don't have time for that. What
you want to do in your title is cover the who, what, where, when and How of your formal
report. Remember to keep it concise and remember to think about what is in the report as well
as who's going to be reading the report. Don't intimidate your audience with something that's
long and awkward and way too flowery or filled with big words. Who, what, where, when, how
of what the readers going to be reading in the report.
