So I'm back with only my second post even though it's the third day. I know it's poor
to make excuses so I won't. I should be committed enough to blog everyday, and it's the core
principal of Empower Network.
I have actually been watching all the 8 commitment videos, plus listening to the bonus audio
and recorded webinars, that you can find on the Empower website.
The two Daves can talk!
I don't expect everyone, will want to spend the best part of two days, going through everything
in one go, but I found it very inspiring! (or should I say empowering?)
I'm a buyer at heart, even though I can no longer afford to be one, but "I want ALL IN!".
Of course you only have to listen to Dave wood for 15 minutes to see that this man can
sell, but he learnt that skill and that's what being ALL IN, will teach you as well.
I personally hate selling in a BIG way, but I've learned already that selling is not what
the Empower Network is about. In fact one catchphrase, is "Put down the phone and pick
up the checks!". Yes they give you the opportunity to buy, but they don't actually sell to you.
It may sound like the same thing but once you've listened to a couple of the videos
and watched the Christmas 2012 hangout at Dave Sharpe's house, then you'll realize it
isn't.
Some of the videos really made me laugh and I thoroughly I enjoyed watching this sandal
wearing, long haired casual scruffbag telling me his story. I would understand if you object
to some of his words but as movies go he's only a PG (Parental Guidance) rating.
By the way, I failed not to edit my first post and I actually spent about 90 minutes
on it in the end, just reading through and correcting the grammar. I hope I can resist
that today!
No Excuses -- Just Do It!
Having listened to all those videos the past two days, I actually learned that a lot of
people have trouble writing, and that in one of the products (15k Formula) one of the modules
is called "15 minute blogging". I'm looking forward to getting my hands on those, and
also I would love to be able to get the $500 "Costa Rica Intensive" course. Mainly as I
would be horribly sickened to get an email saying, "Congratulations! You've just lost
a $500 commission."
I should mention that my good friend and sponsor, LuAnn, actually paid for my first month's
membership to Empower as an aid to getting me out of my Rock Bottom depression that I
had reached. I met her online 12 months ago when I got involved with Solavei and she was
the mainstay of our teams Skype group. Being in the UK promoting a US launch did not work
out for me, but I made some fantastic contacts in that group, and it is a real shame that
we have slowly split apart.
During one of my depression Skype culls, I had left the group, but 3 months ago, LuAnn
tracked me down to tell me about Rippln, and I started up a blog about that and recruited
42 people around the world. My Ripple grew to 119 people in 17 countries. We still have
about a month to go to the official launch, which was extended several times from the
expected May time launch date. Since then of course I went completely broke and couldn't
pay my web-hosting bill, and all my sites have now closed.
I'm sure I'll bore (stroke) interest you with more on all of those details in the coming
weeks. When you first start blogging, (especially when it's truly a personal blog and not about
a niche topic), there is loads you can talk about. Take one step at a time though and
don't pour your soul out in the first few days or try to create a plan.
Just Do It!.
Well that's what I'm trying to do.
I'm actually finding 700 words a day, has been easy so far, but this is only my second
post.
Today it's taken me 32 minutes so far so I'm more than happy with that! A quick read through
and I should be done. If this hasn't read well then I apologize but I'm deliberately
not going to try and make these daily posts perfect. I know if I try to I will get bored
very quickly.
No excuses for you either!
Don't forget to post some encouragement in the comments below!
Thanks!
Richard
