Bicycle accident cases. The first thing that we need to know, if you or a loved one has
been injured while riding a bicycle is there liability? Is there fault on the person who
is driving the car, because without that it's difficult to get a settlement for a number
of different things. Such as medical bills, lost income and pain and suffering, as well
as property damage to the bicycle. So that's the first thing we need to know about if you
have been injured in a bicycle accident, is whose fault is it? Know you may think it's
the other driver's fault but the police officer who wrote up the report might have written
it up differently, so we gotta look at that police report that's the first thing we look
at. Assuming it is the fault of the operator of the vehicle, as I said medical bills, lost
income, pain and suffering and damage to the bicycle. These cases can be a little trickier
than your normal say your rear-end collision or somebody gets rear-ended in a car accident.
And why is that? Well generally my experience over the years is that people operating a
vehicle and they hit a bicyclist they tend to tell the police officer that they did not
see the bicyclist, the bicyclist did something. So it's important that if you call us or another
lawyer that they get on the case right away and they talk to witnesses. Maybe go to the
accident scene and see if what the operator of the vehicle said makes any sense based
on the scene of the accident, i.e. skid mark lengths, different things like that it can
be kinda involved. Sometimes they will even hire an investigator or an automobile accident
investigator to go down and look and try to determine liability or fault, it's not always
easy as I said with a bicycle accident case. Our firm has handled a number of these over the past twenty four years.
We've got a lot experience handling automobile accident cases. We charge no fee until you obtain a settlement or recovery.
