And today we're going to talk about how to make acrylic nails last longer. From the perspective
of a client, what I recommend is, first of all don't use your acrylic nails that are
finished and freshly done from the shop as a tool. A lot of times people will dull the
edges, wear the polish off of the tips. And for that also I have another, another little
recommendation. And that is, that after three days, when you've had your nails polished
and done at the shop, come home and apply a new top coat. The reason for this is, people
who play around with paper, count money or read books or anything in that realm, will
tend to wear the polish off of the tips of the acrylic nails. And by putting an additional
coat of, of top coat, you will stop this from happening faster. You can do this every three
days. Another thing I recommend is do not push your cuticles back. Keep your cuticles
well oiled, however, it's really not recommended to actually take an orange wood or a birch
wood stick and push that cuticle back. Because what happens when you push it back is you
create the illusion of growth on the nail bed. Leave that part of the job up to your
nail technician. She's professional, she knows to do it, she'll do it each time she fills
your nail in. That's going to make your nail actually, the fill in actually lasts longer
when she goes ahead and, and pushes that cuticle back before she fills them in. If you go home
and do it in between, it's going to make it appear that you need a fill in quicker. Another
thing that you can do to make them last longer is, especially in the winter time, keep your
hands moisturized and well oiled. The reason for this is that acrylic can become brittle
in the cold weather and try to keep your hands gloved in the winter time when you are exiting
the car and entering the car from shopping and short trips. And these are pretty much
the most of the tips that I have for you at making them last longer.
