Hi Ma! Hiiiii!! Oh hiii!!
You want to hear my funny story, don't you?
Yup, tell me.
So about a week ago, I got really scared - too scared to even tell anyone.
Amy: What was that?
I said I was really *scared*.
The thing is, my hands had changed colour... the whole hand...
The lines were all brown.
Even the gaps between my fingers had turned brown, it scared me.
At home it wasn't really that obvious.
But at work there are those fluorescent lights so it was really obvious.
I thought 'oh no', I don't know what's wrong with me, do I have some disease? I still didn't want to tell anyone..
I thought of so many different possibilities...
Was it the clothes I was folding? Was the colour from the material coming off?
But it couldn't be, because I had been folding navy coloured clothes...
And it wouldn't come off with soap...
One night I thought, maybe I'm just getting old...
Julie: But then you asked Justin to look at WebMD, right?
Well the other night I couldn't keep it to myself anymore.
So during dinner I told Justin and Dad that there was something wrong with me...
I said: "as you guys already know, I really don't like wearing glasses because then I can see the wrinkles on my hands..."
"... but in the past two days my hands have changed colour and I don't know why..."
Amy: A few days!?
Lots of days! I waited until I really couldn't keep it to myself to tell Justin and Dad!
Then I wondered if it was chlorine from the pool...
But it couldn't be, because the rest of me hadn't changed colour too, just my hands had changed colour!
I was so worried. So I asked Justin to have a look on the internet while I was out swimming that evening with Dad.
Was there anything about the hands...
... the palm of the hands...
Is there any situation where hands changing colour would be a symptom of sickness in the body?
Because I was *so* scared! So scared!
When I got back from swimming that night, I asked Justin if he had checked for me.
He said "not yet"...
So I kept thinking over and over *giggle*... mulling over it for a long time...
... is there something that *I've* been doing differently?
And it turns out *giggle*
I had used Julie's stuff!
Amy: What *giggle*?
I'd used Julie's... I'll go get it. I'll show you what I used...
Mum: Okay so then..
Amy: Wait a sec! Wait a sec!
Amy and Julie: Ma ma ma ma ma! Ahhh!
Julie: Mum don't say it yet! Because we've lost you on the screen.
Mum: Now this bottle isn't it...
Amy: No, mum just don't say it yet!
Amy: Okay good! Okay good! Go ahead!
AMY: OH MY GOD I KNOW WHAT IT IS!
Mum: Okay, so *giggle*... Julie: Show her!
Okay so I had already finished off this bottle of Julie's leftover moisturiser...
But then I saw that there was another bottle left, so I started using that...
But I didn't use it on my face... oh Amy's laughing!
So I didn't put it on my face, but every night after my shower, right before bed...
I'd just squeeze a little out and put it on my hands...
What could it be?
I pondered it over and over... what have I used? Maybe I've used something by accident?
Because usually I'd just use the Nature Plus cream from Dr Law...
But I used up Julie's leftover bottle and then saw there was another one. I thought I may as well use it too...
So I picked this up... *cackle cackle*... Do you know what it is?
Can you see what it is?
*CACKLE*
And then I thought I must've done something wrong...
I went into my room, looked straight at it... 'Summer Glow'?
*CACKLE* I had an inkling about what 'Summer Glow' meant...!
Then I had another look at the bottle...
And it turns out... *points to colour chart*...
If you're really white, you'll turn this dark... a bit darker and you'll get a bit darker...
*CACKLE*
Julie: Like a gradient! *Giggle*
Justin laughed at me!
Amy: Oh my God!
Justin said I was too thrifty!
But really, why waste it? Julie just leaves things behind...
Every night before bed I'd use a little on my hands. Just using it up on the hands...
But then my hands changed! Especially in the gaps... wa hai!
So orange!
All in the creases!
So gross!
I wondered how I'd ever be able to show my hands again, they were so gross!
How would I serve rice to people with these lines on my hands?
*Cackle*
But now I'm good! One week without using it and it's all faded!
Amy and Julie: Yeah, yeah... very good ma... *sigh*...
