Welcome to Hazcheck Workstation
In this video, we are going to have a look at the features of Hazcheck Workstation to give you a taste of the system.
Firstly, we will take a look at the IMDG Code module.
You can display full details of any UN Number in the Dangerous Goods List.
Enter your UN Number here
Additional information can be displayed by clicking the blue data fields.
Grid View displays the Dangerous Goods List as a scrolling datasheet.
Select a substance from the list and click on the Form View button to view the full details of that substance.
The Substance Index is a list of Proper Shipping Names and their synonyms, secondary names, initials, abbreviations etc.
and can be used for searching by name.
The entire text of the IMDG Code is available within the program.
Hazcheck Workstation will contain the latest Amendment of the IMDG Code including any Errata and updates.
Click the blue links will display more information in the same window.
Now we are going to take a look at Stowage and Segregation.
As an example, we will create a load for a closed CTU on a cargo sailing.
You can also select Passenger sailings if it is required for your load.
As you can see, the load does not comply.
You can view the conflict by clicking the number in the conflicts field, or clicking the conflict tab.
The load does not comply because Class 5.1 substances must be separated from Class 3 substances.
The segregation provisionis are not applicable to dangerous goods in Limited Quantities.
The load now complies.
Now we will look at the packaging feature of Hazcheck Workstation.
Enter the packaging details for each item.
Hazcheck Workstation checks your details as soon as you click OK, and will alert you if there are any problems.
As mentioned earlier, Hazcheck Workstation will alert you if there are any problems with the details you enter.
In this example; the weight entered exceeds the packages limits; you will need to adjust the weight for the load to become compliant.
Using this example, we will now have a look at a DGN (Dangerous Goods Note).
Click on the DGN Tab.
You can select IMO Multimodal as your Dangerous Goods Note template. If you have pre-printed SITPRO dangerous goods notes; simply place them in your printer and select the 'SITPRO 2009' button.
For this example; we will use the IMO Multimodal format.
Simply fill in the Shipping details; the details of your load are automatically copied over and they are displayed below.
This document must accompany the load when it is in transit so the Ship Operator knows what substances are in the load and the quantity and weight of each substance.
