Here we are back in the city—
concrete jungle.
Just doing it.
Embracing it but really looking forward to
getting back to Tahoe, getting in my kitchen,
cooking some food, and
hanging out with my friends and family.
Like you’re a pretty prolific winner,
you’ve done a lot of winning in your career.
Does this blow all other wins right out of the water?
100-percent. I’ve been able to do well in so many events,
X Games and World Tour titles,
but the Olympics is just in a whole different ballpark.
I mean nothing compares to that event.
Give me your top 3 or 5 moments
since the win, and the win can be included,
just 5 moments that you’re bugging out about.
Moments! Seeing my family, number 1.
I’m so thankful they made it out to Russia.
Seeing all of them and their reactions after I won the gold was priceless.
Another moment was on my plane ride out of Russia,
from Sochi to Munich,
I passed out right away and woke up and I forgot
where I was or what had happened…
for a few days when I woke up I’m like,
alright it’s real. It actually happened!
Everything connected, all the manifestation
and really believing and trusting
and knowing that I was capable of it,
but the challenge of getting there is overwhelming.
Going on the Ellen Show in California,
I flew right from Sochi to LA and got to meet Ellen,
which was unbelievable
and she surprised me, she brought my whole family out at the end of the show and I had
no idea anyone was there, so it was such an awesome moment.
And then flying red eye right back to New York with my sister and my manager,
and we’re all like, please United, upgrade us.
We all want an upgrade and it happened.
I’m like manifestation in action every day.
And all the little things,
I’m connecting with Wanderlust a yoga and music festival.
I met with them a few days ago for lunch and
they want me to speak at their event in Hawaii so
I’m flying there on Tuesday
and all these little things are connecting.
Things that I’ve been thinking about and visualizing
and it brings that abundant energy of knowing
that anything we want to do is possible.
Is there anything that sucks about winning the gold medal?
I’ve been pretty tired. It’s been long days
and a lot to take in physically,
mentally, emotionally. But
at the end of the day,
I have so much gratitude and so much love for everything going on that
I just have to slow down every once in a while and take a moment.
Tell me a little about what was it like over there from your perspective?
I had an amazing time in Russia,
I had no idea what to expect.
The trip started off with the best pow day of the year for me on top of the mountain.
It felt like Alaska with chairlift access
—just soul shredding and reconnecting to why I love this sport so much.
And then just everything, there were definitely a few negatives but
it was all about your attitude and how you perceive your reality.
I ended up meeting some amazing people,
loved the food,
kind of went on a different adventure every day
and had such a good experience.
For sure, Jamie Anderson you’re one of a kind.
Thanks a lot for stopping by here on dose.
Thanks for having me. Hell yeah.
