NATASSIA: I think the main argument Alfie and I have in
the room is he doesn't feel comfortable in it.
ALFIE: It's very feminine.
It doesn't really have anything of me in the room.
NATASSIA: He feels like I haven't really compromised in
terms of my girly style.
ALFIE: I just think it's way too bright, and too many pinks
and floral colors.
NATASSIA: Alfie and I met about three years ago at my
family's house.
He's really great friends with my sister.
ALFIE: Both our parents are still together, and we have
similar family values.
NATASSIA: I love Alfie because he knows what it takes to make
a relationship work, and I really
appreciate that about him.
ALFIE: Usually I'm in front of the TV.
I play a lot of video games.
For the most part, the way the apartment is set up in this
room, it's very feminine with the curtains and all the pink.
It really represents Natassia and not me.
NATASSIA: I just feel like I usually have a really
stressful work week, so it's just nice being able to come
home to just something really just feminine, comfortable.
ALFIE: The polka dot pink curtains are
just over the top.
Then the pillows are just way too much.
It's like a pink leopard print.
NATASSIA: I was trying to get away from some of the
masculine colors in the room by throwing pink
accessories over it.
I just felt it was going to give it a warmer feel.
So that's why I chose to just have everything pink.
ALFIE: I just think it's a little too girly.
The pink is over the top.
I need a little bit more manly.
NATASSIA: I think the main frustration Alfie has with the
pink is just that it's become an uncomfortable space for him
to live in.
He often has his friends come over to play video games or
just to relax.
Are you still playing?
ALFIE: More pink pillows?
I've had my friends over, and they actually tease me about
all the pink.
They say it was my choice to have the pink.
I wore a pink shirt once, and now all of a sudden, my
favorite color's pink This room is a deal breaker because
all the pink reminds me of my mother.
I love my mom, but the last thing I want is Natassia to
remind me of my mother.
NATASSIA: I don't know what's going to happen if
we don't get help.
So I think at this point, it's either we get help, or we're
just going to be living in a constant state of war.
