My name is Peter Castoldi.
The title of the project was a Podcast of an Economic Concept.
So you can you go into the concept of this and how you did it in class? Because you are a student of the class right?
Right. Correct yes.
So basically we were tasked with creating a podcast on the topic that she would
give us.
Uhh, my topic was Market Demand and
all of our classmates got a different topic, so it was pretty interesting
to hear what people had to say, and how they decided to say it. We would
record a podcast of 3-5 minutes
making sure that we covered everything that was in the topic, making sure
that it was clear, and we could understand it, and it was
very,
a great assignment.
So now was this a weekly thing or was this a monthly thing?
This was just a one-time thing for this particular assignment. A one-time thing alright.
We do have another assignment coming up, but for one that was on an individual level
for a podcast this was the only assignment that we had. Okay.
So you said that an individual assignment, so is there gonna be a group assignment of this nature?
Yup there is, and we're actually working on it now and it's due sometime soon.
So when you sat down to yours about Market Demand, what was
your strategy of how to do this, how did you approach this? Did you write a script?
Exactly yeah. And what kind of software did you use if you remember that sort of thing?
Um, so for the script I only used Microsoft Word, I kept it kind of basic.
But for the recording we used Audacity. And that way made it easy
to record it, visualize recording, and edit it
My whole idea is basically
I had to write something before hand, otherwise if I was just going with it on a limb
I would sort of stutter and not really have the means to say
what i want to say
So i wrote something before hand - So did you do any editing after you
finished it?
did you have to go back and revise it?
or did you just do like a one time thing where it was perfect?
yes we had to go back and revise it, with Audacity
with Audacity, we have to go back and listen to our recording
and edit out the parts where we
either stuttered, or someone was flipping pages, and also make sure that
the end of the podcast you don't hear ten seconds of nothing before it ends
yeah you wanna make it as clean as possible
so from a students perspective, did you enjoy this assignment, would you
be welcome to more of this type of assigntments with media.
involved? Yeah I really enjoyed it, I think it's because
it was a different assignment, it's not your typical
document, it's not your typical power point presentation
it's something that you can relate to, cause you hear things on the radio and everything everyday
When you create one, and hear it, it's a lot easier to digest
I'd welcome more of it
yeah, did you find it stressful using all the technology involved? Or did you find it
like you welcomed it with open arms? Like Oh this is new this is different, I wana try it out
and learn these softwares. I think I welcome it quite a bit
you know it wasn't very daunting to start out with, it was very
basic, you only needed a computer and microphone
it was very easy to setup like i think the fact that the
assembly was so straight forward and so easy to kind of create
It was easy to embrace as well Well Thank You
Thank You
