Hello; and welcome to the Oracle PartnerNetwork training series.
This session provides an overview of the Oracle PartnerNetwork Program and is intended for
all OPN member users. After viewing this section you will understand
the 4 levels in the OPN program, the criteria, benefits, and fees at each level, the different
membership types and what it means to become a Specialized partner.
Let's review the progressive levels in the Oracle PartnerNetwork program; from Silver
to Diamond. Also, we will review the Remarketer sales initiative.
The OPN program was designed to meet partners' needs by offering a streamlined program architecture
in which you can participate at the level that best matches your organization's business
goals and objectives. Let's begin with our remarketer initiative,
which simply allows resellers through our Value Added Distributors to resell our 1-Click
products; with no Oracle contract or fees. As a Silver level OPN member you are eligible
to resell our 1-Click products designed for mid-sized customers. Silver level OPN members
will have engagement benefits including access to the Partner Business Center, Support, enhanced
educational offerings and development licenses for ISVs.
The gold level is the primary entry point for many Value Added Resellers and Solution
Providers as it provides access to Oracle's entire product portfolio. Gold level OPN members
are eligible to sell our Software & Hardware products. Also, Gold is the first level were
partners can choose to qualify for Specialization. Platinum is our level for Specialized partners
demonstrating a depth and breadth of expertise in multiple product and solutions areas. Platinum
level OPN members must obtain any combination of 5 or more Specializations, Oracle Exastack
Ready applications, Oracle Exastack Optimized applications or Oracle Validated Integrations.
Finally, we offer the Diamond level which is specifically designed for our large Regional
or Global Integrators that demonstrate not only the depth and breadth; but the capacity
in terms of global resources available. Diamond level OPN members must demonstrate their vast
expertise with over 30 specializations; of which 10 must be advanced specializations.

All membership levels from Silver to Diamond require a signed OPN Agreement and partners
must submit an online application via Oracle's OPN Portal.
The possibility to become Specialized begins at the Gold level. Silver level partners are
not eligible for Specialization. Also, Advanced Specialization is optional
for Gold and Platinum partners, while Diamond partners are required a minimum of 10. Advanced
Specialization requires the partner to staff at least 50 unique Implementation specialists
and is mandatory only for the Diamond partners. Regarding the OPN fees, all the values are
established at the beginning or Oracle's fiscal year. For most of the countries and outside
of the US, fees are paid in local currency. We currently support payment with credit card,
PO or direct deposit depending on the region. Please check with your local Oracle Partner
Business Center representative to find out which methods are available in your country.
If you are planning to join the OPN program or upgrade your OPN membership to a higher
level, we suggest you reach out the Oracle Partner Business Center for assistance.
When you join the program or renew your membership, you will need to determine which membership
type best meets your companies needs. Depending on your company business model, Oracle has
3 different membership types, along with the membership levels we just described.
If your company doesn't have subsidiaries or branches, your should select STANDARD type.
In case your company is actually present in more than one country or actually has different
locations or subsidiaries, your should consider the WORLDWIDE type.
It is important to note the ASSOCIATES have to be wholly or majority owned subsidiaries.
Only the Worldwide company signs the OPN agreement and all the ASSOCIATES membership will co-terminate
with the parent company agreement. Also, both the WORLDWIDE AND ASSOCIATE may count their
collective resources to meet business and competency criteria required for specialization.
Depending on the Worldwide company membership level, ASSOCIATES also pay a discounted OPN
fee. If the Worldwide is at the Gold level, their Associates receive a 50% discount. If
the parent company is Platinum or Diamond, all ASSOCIATES actually can join OPN at no
additional cost. Finally, it is critical to state that all
ASSOCIATES must provide the WORDWIDE company ID at the time they apply and the PRM Partner
Administrator of the WORLDWIDE company will be required to provide written approval for
the subsidiary to be accepted.
