Welcome to our first video!
Hi guys. I'm Lauren, and I'm a writer at K-world Style.
I'm going to show you how to make
some bracelets out of
old fabrics or t-shirts
So first off, you are going to need some supplies
I have a tshirt
some old pair of jean shorts
some scissors
and some string
This is actually really really easy.
What you are going to do is
Whatever you want your main fabric to be,
you have to cut strips out of that, an inch thick.
I'm going to braid these. You need three strips.
They're not exactly an inch,
I'm not worried, you shouldn't be either.
It's messy chic.
So you have your three strips of fabric.
This is going to be the thicker part.
It's going to support everything.
It's going to support everything.
And then
whatever your other fabric is
you're gonna cut 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick strips.
you're gonna cut 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick strips.
you're gonna cut 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick strips.
So for me I tie-dyed my shirt in advance
That's why it's a little odd looking.
You want them to be
a little bit longer.
They are the thinner overlay pieces.
You just need three of them.
If you have a hair scrunchy
or a rubber-band, to hold the top of them.
Put them together.
In line for braiding.
Just braid it.
Some places you can't see the pink, adjust it.
I'm actually going to whip out my needle.
Because it's gonna be a lot easier and cleaner.
When you are loading up your thread to the needle, get two wrists of thread. About 30 cm.
Right now I'm finishing up the knot
to make it clean
I wanted this one to be longer.
I wrapped the pink around the end.
I know there are a lot of these things. That's because of I used cut denim.
If you don't want them, you can just
use a different fabric or
maybe
sow a seem
on the outside first.
I don't really care so
I didn't, but you can definitely do that.
Hope you enjoyed this
I'm going to link to the blog post for more details.
See you guys later.
