My career goals as a Dental Assistant student would be
to graduate from this program and enter into a clinic.
I chose the Dental Assistant Program at Allan Hancock
because it's local, very economical
and it's the third highest passing rate
in the state of California.
for the RDA license.
You get to actually work
and experience what actual clinics get to do
in the real world, I'm going to be ready
and be actually knowing what to do.
One of my favorite parts
about the labs is working on live patients.
Was a lot of fun because it gave us real-life experience
and I really enjoyed it.
I knew I was going to get great hands-on experience,
for a clinical field and when I went
into a job I would already know what I'm doing.
I learned what I'm good at,
I learned what I like and don't' like.
I was able to narrow down a field that I wanted to join
as soon as I left the program.
This has been a great opportunity for me to be able
to provide for my family.
They have a future now because I have a future.
