don't throw away old envelops because you can convert them into very beautiful tetrahedron.
take an old envelop and fold a triangle in one corner. mark the lie and cut it. this
will be a kind of doubled up square because the envelop has two layers. you can see there
is an open end and you can put your fingers inside and this is the gate. now double the
envelop to just mark the mid point of the envelop. mark it with a sketch pen. draw lines
from this mid point to the opposite corners. now these two blue lines will be exactly the
same size and this you will make an isosceles triangle. now crease both these lines very
sharply and your tetrahedron is almost made. as soon as you open the mouth and bring both
the edges together, you will be surprised to see a tetrahedron.........similarly from
the envelop instead of one you can fold two tetrahedrons. the procedure remains the same.
instead of one square take two squares and because both these tetrahedrons are joined
they can flex about a common edge and which opens up many many possibilities. you can
become slightly more adventurous instead of two make six tetrahedrons and tape them together
in shape of a flower. you will be surprised this flexigon can be opened and closed like
a flower. you can depict a food chain, a cycle or ....... or a story in this. its very exciting
and dynamic.
