I was able to benefit in a massive amount of ways. I think the first thing
that
I like to say is that I wish more people took up the Aramis
as a viable option for placement year.
You get this amazing grant you get to go to a new country,
you get to jump into a new culture, you get to make hundreds, literally hundreds of new
friends from all over the world that you would not had before.
I went to the the European University
Viadrina in Frankfurt (oder) in Germany
I didn't speak a word of German I really didn't know what
I was a getting into, but I went there
and I came back a year later a changed person, I can now speak german to in
intermediate level, I was able to take
this amazing variety
of classes there, undergraduate level, at Masters level
I study Polish history, I studied creativity in management
I use the money from the grant to go travelling.
I went to Terezin which is absolutely beautiful
city in Germany,I went off course to
Berlin, which is only an hour away by train,
we went on a lads weekend to Warsaw, which was fun to say the least,
we went to to Spain to a visit another friend of mine is doing a
Aramis there, you know every day that you
wake up and you go onto Facebook there will be literally 10 events on,
maybe someone is going to the History Museum
in Berlin, and asking for some people to join, someone is
is hosting a party in their flat, someone is going to teach
someone else Spanish you can go and learn Spanish.
Everyday is an adventure and
I came back to England a changed person. I loved it
