the University of Iowa it's a great tertiary care facility
we have state-of-the-art equipment I get support from
the hospital and and the division to do the things that I
need to do and and want to do to help patients and their families so
I'm really set up for success if anything
it is unfortunately found like it like a cancer
you're in the best place to get it treated so
we can immediately get you set up with
surgery medical oncology radiation oncology
genetics we have all these capabilities
at our fingertips and we can coordinate them very easily
I've been able to start are our own colorectal cancer tumor board here the
University of Iowa
where we discuss every patient as a new diagnosis of colon cancer in a
multi-disciplinary fashion
to sit down with all of the experts from all the different specialties
and we can all make sure that everything is being done the right way for the patient is fantastic.
I wouldn't be able to do that somewhere else.
