(Music) Journalists use social networking sites but they don't trust them
(Music)
What is your research based on? (Music)
The subject which has been analysed in this research has been to know
the many ways Spanish journalists use social networking sites
in their daily work.
(Music)
Which social networking sites do journalists use the most? (Music)
The social networking sites journalists use the most,
and other Internet users agree a bit with them,
are Facebook and Twitter.
Professionals of these social networking sites
use them to disseminate information about their own environment,
information about them or about other colleagues,
to look for the most interesting topics for the public,
the users involved in these social networking sites,
and also to be in contact with citizens.

To what extent do social networking sites have credibility? (Music)
The journalists who have participated in this research
consider social networking sites
are to date less credible than the traditional means,
despite these journalists use them.
The fact is that now here we wonder
if social networking sites have to be credible,
because when a journalist visits an institutional website,
whether from a political party or a government,
this website doesn't have to be credible
simply because it is an official source,
but once the journalist enters here
he will have to match the contents he finds
or the information he finds against other sources.
The same applies to social networking sites.

What lines of research would you highlight in this context? (Music)
The most interesting lines of research
may be which means, in accordance with their nature,
are better suited to different social networking sites,
to see how the strategies
being adopted by the media in these social networking sites
are evolving,
and it would be interesting to see how this credibility we mentioned
about these new Web 2.0 tools
evolves over time.
