Announcer: Welcome back to The David Pakman Show.
David: All right, welcome back to the show. On the bonus show today, we'll be talking
about sex in space, the final frontier, some are saying, U.S. immigration rules a nine-year-old
boy to be a threat, and some interesting new possible legislation regarding advertising
on talk radio in Rhode Island.
Have you heard, Louis, what's going on with Christine O'Donnell lately?
Louis: Little bit, yeah.
David: There's actually a full criminal investigation now to determine whether the failed U.S. Senate
candidate broke the law by using exactly what we've been saying, campaign money to pay personal
expenses. And O'Donnell responded to the charges basically by going completely nuts and making
up that there is this left-wing vendetta against her, which is hard to believe given that she
lost embarrassingly and has basically fallen completely off the map, has she not?
Louis: Yeah, definitely.
David: What should have happened to Sarah Palin after she lost in 2008 is actually happening
with Christine O'Donnell.
Louis: [Laughs] Well, I guess so. Yeah. But Sarah Palin's a big deal, and I think Christine
O'Donnell was just kind of like this mini-Sarah Palin who no one really cares about. She was
just kind of...
David: Well, it's an interesting argument. Would Christine O'Donnell even have had the
traction she had if there weren't certain resemblances to Sarah Palin, like being a
completely nutty conservative woman? I don't know.
Louis: Not only that, she physically made herself up to look exactly like Sarah Palin.
David: That's right. A lot of...
Louis: I'm not exaggerating at all.
David: A lot of the outfits were similar, and the hair and everything.
Louis: The hair, the glasses, everything.
David: Take a listen to what she says is the reasoning behind this probe that's going on.
And I think we have it. I hope it plays, because I just never know with these things. I think
any second we should have it. Let's see if there's anything I can do about...
Christine O'Donnell: Oh, there's been no impermissible use of campaign funds whatsoever. You have
to look at this whole thug politic tactic for what it is. We have heard of no investigation.
The AP has been tipped off before my lawyer or our campaign or anyone has ever been notified.
The woman leading the CREW complaint is a former Biden staffer who's so far to the left
that she's, you know, to the left of most leftists.
Robin Roberts: But not just one but two former people from your campaign are making these
allegations, Christine.
O'Donnell: Right, and the other one is someone who was fired after a week and a half. [Laughs]
So, you know, you have to look at the credibility of their sources. And as these two fired,
disgruntled former people involved with my campaign have started making these allegations,
even more people who were involved with the 2008 campaign have risen up to say hey, you
know, I was involved with her for months, more than just a week and a half, and didn't
see this.
David: Yeah, hey! All right. So number one, she's already using... she is the victim,
too. These are thugs that are investigating her for using money. And this was so obvious,
we talked about it during the campaign, nobody is surprised about this. She trashes everyone,
even the people from her own campaign. She says that this Keegan guy was unpaid. There
was a time when Keegan was unpaid, there was a time where he was paid, so that's not true.
Blaming Biden is incredible, because number one, she's referring to, what is the name
of the woman? Melanie Sloan. And Melanie Sloan worked as some kind of low-level staffer,
or mid-level staffer, for Joe Biden years ago, before anyone even knew what-- who Christine
O'Donnell was. So the idea that somehow, there's this thug vendetta connected to Joe Biden
through a staffer from I don't know how many years ago, it's completely incredible. Nobody
should believe it, I hope.
The other thing is the former campaign workers who basically say this is exactly what's going
on, of course she's going to call them disgruntled. I mean, there's no surprise. So far, there
has just been no evidence that anything other than exactly what we thought was going on
is what was going on. She reported almost no income for years, how could she possibly
be living off of that amount of money, it just doesn't make any sense. It all fits together.
It must be one of these incredibly-constructed conspiracies where even her tax returns must've
been edited to show she didn't make money. I mean, how could you believe that?
Louis: Right, it's just thuggery, like for some reason, anyone has a reason to go after
Christine O'Donnell. Why would they?
David: Especially now because she's claiming that people are trying to silence her.
Louis: Right.
David: I thought she had been completely silent since she had been embarrassed in that last
election.
Louis: Yeah, if it wasn't for this investigation, we may have never heard from her again.
David: That's right.
Louis: So in a way, I'm kind of upset that this investigation is happening.
David: Yeah, this legal investigation on Christine O'Donnell, which looks to prove that she did
exactly what everybody assumed and knew and was logical she was doing, is only bringing
her back into the limelight.
And I don't care how frugal you are, there's no way you can live off of $5800 for 18 months.
Even if she had a savings account with, you know, $1000 to $15,000 in it, it's still poverty
level. The investigation is inevitable. It's completely logical. And I heard one explanation
from her, something about well, the campaign was being run out of my house, so the campaign
wasn't paying me, I was paying the campaign. It was just a bizarre circle of money that
just, it... I couldn't possibly understand why that is the arrangement they would have
to make.
